On the debut episode of Race Day at Fairmount Park, Johno and Ken bring us a plethora of guests to prepare us for this season’s races. Bobby Pace, former racing director, has recently stepped into the Steward position at Fairmount, and he tells us about the upcoming season, as well as how future gambling legislation could impact the industry. Also, Scotty Becker (trainer) joins the show to tell us about his high expectations for this upcoming season and how his consistency has led to winning the Trainer’s Championship for five straight years.
Victor Santiago, the top jockey at Fairmount, gives us a little insight into his preparations for each race and how his experience has helped him to become the rider he is today. Victor’s agent, Mike Plasters, talks to Johno and Ken about making the right connections at the track and the plans he has for Santiago in 2017. Plus, Darrel Cassity and Roger Duff join the guys to talk about the history of Fairmount Park, the upcoming racing season, and new ideas they look to incorporate at the track this year.
